Handcrafted Glass Care
Each UnioMarc® creation combines artisanal glasswork with carefully selected structural materials. To preserve its appearance and integrity over time, care should always respect the characteristics of each surface and finish.
For routine cleaning, use a soft, clean, lint-free cloth and avoid abrasive household products, stiff brushes, blades, solvents, alcohol, degreasers, or limescale removers on artistic finishes.
Preventing Marks and Scratches
To protect the glass surface, lift objects rather than sliding them, particularly when their base is rough or abrasive. Avoid impacts and take particular care around the edges of the glass.
Each piece is supplied with a pumice powder and cork polishing kit designed to treat minor marks and superficial scratches on the designated bare glass surfaces.
Before use, mix the supplied pumice powder with water until a smooth, uniform mixture is obtained. Apply the mixture to the affected area and work it gently using the cork polishing block, following the care instructions provided with the piece.
This treatment must only be used on the specified bare glass areas and never on artistic finishes, coatings, or other materials.
Heat and Everyday Use
Cold or wet everyday objects can be placed directly on the glass surface.
We recommend avoiding direct contact with very hot containers. In these cases, use suitable heat-resistant protection between the object and the glass.
Indoor Use
UnioMarc® creations are designed as indoor collectible furniture and design objects.
They are not intended for permanent outdoor use or prolonged exposure to weather conditions.
Handling and Moving
Our pieces are composed of independent components designed to be handled separately during assembly, disassembly, and relocation.
Do not drag the work or any of its components. Before moving it, remove all objects from the surface, prepare a clear route, and ensure that the appropriate assistance or equipment is available for safe handling.
Care of Other Materials
Aluminium, wood, marble, and other materials should be cared for according to their specific finish.
Avoid applying polishes, waxes, oils, or protective treatments unless they have been specifically recommended for your piece.
